The story about Rekotex

Rekotex is a digital platform where companies can buy and sell surplus fabrics, so-called leftover fabrics. The idea was hatched by Marie Jonsson, trained textile economist, who has a long experience in the textile industry and early on saw the problems with surpluses at companies. Marie wanted to create circular flows in the industry where these fine quality fabrics could be used by other companies. In 2016, the site Rekotex.se was launched and brands such as Tiger of Sweden, Eton and Nudie jeans use Rekotex to sell their surplus. In that way, smaller manufacturers could get the opportunity to buy premium fabrics in smaller quantities, at a good price.

In recent years, demand from private individuals has increased, and now part of the Rekotex range is available at Sy by Rekotex. We want to create sewing joy and inspire all talented and creative perons who think like us - that we must take care of the resources that already exist.
